    The BioGENEius Challenge

    This is one of the most established science competition open to high school students to showcase innovative and original science research projects in Biotechnology.

    Who can apply?

    High School students (Grades 9 – 12) enrolled in biology or science related courses in any public, private or home school within the USA. The Pennsylvania BioGENEius Challenge will be virtual this year through Harrisburg University and will be held on April 26th.

    Challenge Application Open Date:   3/15/21

    Challenge Application Close Date:   before 4/26/21

    How do I apply?

    You must also apply at the Institute website. Please visit for the BioGENEius 2021 competition. You must participate in the statewide Pennsylvania Science and Engineering Fairs to progress to the statewide event.

    What do I win?

    If you are selected as a winner of a BioGENEius competition you will be eligible to attend both the U.S. National BioGENEius Challenge and the 2021 Digital BIO International Conference, June 10-11 & 14-18. You will have a chance to compete for cash prizes totaling $20,000.
