The Institute's website (www.biotechinstitute.org ) supports teacher efforts to expand biotechnology education in the classroom by offering lesson plans, background information, teaching resources, and schedules of training sessions. The site also provides valuable websites and cross-links to key sites of interest. Merck Company Foundation has provided partial sponsorship through the end of 2009. Opportunities are available for recognition as Supporter and Major Sponsor (logo) on the site for sponsorship grants of $10,000 and $25,000 respectively for five years.
